Positive living. We’ve written a three-part “Me & Positivity” series that have shown that a positive life in motion and practice can be good for your health (read how, here!) I hope those who’ve read our three-part series about what living positive can mean to you, and to your sense of happiness, have made positive gains from the articles! Your life can only be better, healthier and fuller from here on out! I’ve only given a touch of what I can teach you about positive ways of life here, but then I also knew that this was an important part of our program, and would be useful to you entrepreneurs doing their crazy awesome best out there!
Positive ways of life is more than simply thinking positively. Positive points of view doesn’t mean you can’t break down, and experience a range of emotions. All kinds of emotional output, including anger, and sadness, can be cathartic, helpful, and healthy! Control over emotions means less that you know how to stifle emotion, and more that your emotional output can be positively productive, and used as part of a rich, rounded, and relational life. Positive ways of life means that your actions, the way you live shows that you live as hopeful people. Let me tell you what I don’t mean by that. Hopeful living isn’t a “cross-your fingers, close your eyes and hope” kind of life. A person on an epic journey can’t hit the road well with their eyes closed! Hopeful living is a person that lives with creative intent. In other words, a hopeful person is entrepreneurial… what do you know! That’s us! Everyone has a bit of an entrepreneur in them. How do you mean? Well, let’s say a person has to cook for his/her family of 6. The person could give up, and take everyone out to eat every night (that’s a close your eyes and hope it works hopeful), or they can browse the fridge and the freezer, and put something together, even if it’s a brand new recipe! My dad could make something of all kinds of food types-you’d never see the meal in a restaurant, but it was always good…he’s the hopeful type.
Hopeful living is a way to live happily. So here’s a thought project for you…a thought blossom actually! This exercise doesn’t take much time, but does require that you put intentional effort into it…when you do, you’ll discover that only a small change in how you view your life can grow into such a beautiful and growing entrepreneurial experience for you!
So here it is…you’re going to do some sentence seeding, and you’ll end with a garden of fruitful awesomeness. A garden isn’t a garden until something you want to grow, grows. So you start with a foundation…the land. The foundation in this exercise is the first part of the sentence. The second part of the sentence is the seed you plant into the sentence…no you can plant and plant into your land. What comes from sentence seeding? Hopeful, healthy living.
You’ll plant at least 10 seeds, and you’ll be on your way to a full relationship garden:
Living positive & happy to me means…
Here are three of my seeds that got planted into my garden:
Living Happily to Rick Elgersma means…
1. Dating my bride once a week!
2. Having dinner with my family, even if means we eat at 8 p.m.!
3. Counseling Couples!
You see? The benefits? My relationship blossoms, I eat well, and my relationship with my family blossoms, and I look forward to work!
You’re going to have to weed the garden, but land as precious as your lives are, is worth tending.
Try it. Go!
I love to talk about this stuff. Know any groups that could use this?
